WHO ARE YOU?

In this module I'll share in detail the personal steps that led me to becoming a successful DJ.

We'll explore your life long connection to music, and identify your strengths and potential challenges. 

After this module, you’ll understand deeper why music is so important to you, and have a clearer vision on what you wish to create and how.

MODULE 2

MUSIC EXPLORATION 

Finding and knowing great music that really works on a Dance-floor comes 1st before DJing. 

Here we'll expand your musical horizons with inspiring shared playlists, and understand music on a deeper physical, emotional and energetic level.  

MODULE 3

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE 

Knowing what gear to get, how to set it up and what all the buttons mean can be so time consuming and confusing!

Here we simplify and explain everything step by step, to save time, money and hassle.

All the software settings you need are explained to help you learn good habits right from the start so you can begin your creative mixing exploration with ease. 

MODULE 4

UNDERSTANDING AND PREPARING YOUR TRACKS

Not a musician? Doesn't matter!

Here you'll learn all the DJ specific music theory 101. Using the Tractor Pro software you'll understand beats, tempos, grids, harmonics, phases, loops and song structure.

These elements are the key foundations of DJing. Getting them dialled in from the beginning, will set you up for smooth and easy mixing down the track. 

MODULE 5

SONIC

SOUND-SCAPES 

Now that we've got good foundations in place, it's time to start getting creative.

Here you'll learn how to manipulate sound using a range of Effects (FX) and Equaliser Frequencies (EQ). I'll share with you when and how I use these, and the effects it can have on the energy of the dance floor. 

This is going to fine tune your ears and awareness of different sounds, instruments and overall energy as we begin to spark your creativity. 

MODULE 6

TRANSITIONS

Now the magic of DJing really starts to unfold as we blend 2 Tracks together, attuning to the nervous systems and overall energy of the dance floor.  

This is module is the fullest section of the course. 

A comprehensive and easy to follow video library of all the transitions I use, ranging from the very simple to more complex and exciting 

Full explanations, as well as free downloads of all the Tracks used, so you can follow along, replicate and integrate. 

The content also continues as I take you 'behind the decks' into my flow sessions of different Ecstatic Dance Phases with screen view, decks view, and also commentary to explain everything that's happening. 

MODULE 7

SET CREATION

Ever been to an Ecstatic Dance and it just didn't feel like a wholistic journey?

Here we're going to dissect, in detail, each of the 5 key phases I use in my recipe' for creating life changing Ecstatic Dance sets. 

How can we make our Peaks even higher? Our Landings even softer and sweeter?

It's all in here, including the types of Tracks, Tempos, FX and Transitions I use in each stage, as well as the embodiment of intention, energy and space holding elements. 

MODULE 8

PLAYING LIVE!

I don't want you to be a 'stay at home' DJ. My intension for this course is to give you everything you need including the confidence to get out there are PLAY. 

So in this section we've got topics like:

• how to book gigs
• playing at events other than Ecstatic Dance
• self - practices for dealing with nerves and mistakes
• empowering yourself with a microphone 
• Plugging in to a sound system and using headphones
